The Tone:
This is an in-person position for an Assistant Project Coordinator at Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn North, located at 630 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11206. Kitchen Tune-Up is a kitchen design and remodeling franchise dedicated to updating, uplifting, and upgrading kitchens through a professional and committed approach. This role is fundamental to the successful execution of kitchen remodeling projects, acting as a crucial link between office administration, precise project tracking, effective vendor coordination, and meticulous physical material management. What You’ll Actually Do
• Material Management: Responsibly unload, unbox, and conduct thorough inspections of all incoming cabinet orders, custom doors, hardware, and accessories, noting any damage or missing items.
• Inventory & Staging: Precisely cross-reference shipments against project specifications, photograph and document any shipping damage for claims, and organize materials in the staging area for installation crews.
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive assistance to the Project Coordinator by accurately inputting order data, tracking lead times, and maintaining up-to-date client profiles and project records in the database.
• Client & Project Updates: Develop and maintain detailed project checklists, prepare proactive client update documents, and create polished visual Microsoft PowerPoint slide decks to inform stakeholders.
• Vendor & Team Coordination: Serve as a primary contact for clients, provide clear status updates, communicate directly with suppliers to confirm ship dates, and collaborate with sales and installation teams to verify material readiness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn the intricacies of the custom kitchen remodeling business from its foundational elements.
• Experience: Proven strong proficiency in essential software including Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for data management, Word for documentation, email communication, and experience with CRM or database entry.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, which is critical for identifying flaws in materials and accurate inventory; excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and job-site crews; and the physical capability to regularly lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing 40–50 lbs.
• Bonus: Prior experience in office administration, customer service, receiving/inventory management, or previous involvement in construction or home improvement projects is considered a valuable asset.
