Production Control Auditor | Delta Air Lines
The Tone:
This is an entry-level position at Delta Air Lines, located in various warehouse environments within Delta’s operational facilities. Delta Air Lines is a global carrier committed to connecting the world and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of its fleet. As a precursor to the Materiel Controller position, this role is vital for the precise handling, boxing, and shipping of critical aircraft parts. Your contribution directly supports Delta’s operational readiness by ensuring that both serviceable and unserviceable components are managed effectively within the Delta system or with external vendors.
The TL;DR:
• Role: Entry-Level Production Control Auditor, serving as a pre-cursor for the Materiel Controller position
• Type: Full-time, requiring shift work, weekends, and occasional holidays
• Location: In-person, at Delta’s operational facilities within a warehouse environment
• Mission: Ensure accurate handling, boxing, and shipping of serviceable and unserviceable aircraft parts, maintaining the integrity of Delta’s supply chain and supporting operational needs.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft applications (Word, Excel); experience with Delta systems like Gem/MIR, RGM, and SAP is a plus
What You’ll Actually Do:
• Part Management: Handle both unserviceable and serviceable Delta and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) parts.
• Logistics: Box and ship parts within the Delta system or to outside vendors.
• Safety Adherence: Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures.
• Task Completion: Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established timelines.
• Work Environment: Operate independently with minimal supervision or effectively within a team environment.
The Must-Haves:
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of logistics principles.
• Experience: Requires basic computer knowledge, including proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel. This role is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. Internal candidates must be performing satisfactorily in their current position.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong attention to detail, possesses robust organizational capabilities, and applies critical thinking to problem-solving. Individuals must also be able to safely lift up to 75lbs, utilizing proper equipment or assistance, and consistently prioritize safety and security in all tasks. The ability to thrive both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment is essential.
• Bonus: A college graduate is preferred. Prior working experience using Delta’s specific systems, including Gem/MIR, RGM, and SAP, will provide a competitive advantage.
