Litigation Paralegal | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a key role by working closely with talented attorneys, providing essential support throughout all stages of litigation—before, during, and after trials. What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Document Preparation: Draft and prepare a comprehensive range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda, and appellate documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
• Court Filings and Procedures: Electronically file all necessary court documents in both state and federal courts, and draft and serve summons, while maintaining an up-to-date understanding of court rules and procedures.
• Discovery Management and Investigation: Prepare and manage discovery documents, draft interrogatories and responses, aid attorneys with other discovery requests, coordinate and summarize depositions, and gather relevant information through factual investigation from various sources.
• Trial and Hearing Support: Organize and prepare comprehensive trial binders, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices; assist with witness preparation; and coordinate logistics for hearings and trials.
• Case Administration and Coordination: Perform critical administrative duties such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing case files, managing case logistics, and assisting attorneys with case settlements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a minimum of two years of litigation experience in a legal environment.
• Experience: Required proficiency in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings, coupled with extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must type no less than 35 words per minute.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational abilities to manage multiple deadlines, and applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court rules.
• Bonus: An Associate degree, a paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience is preferred, along with prior experience in Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Premises Liability, or other injury-related practice areas.
