Paralegal | Matura Farrington

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Matura Farrington, situated within the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. Matura Farrington is a highly regarded law firm expanding its team. This newly created position is pivotal for supporting attorneys in complex, high-impact litigation matters. The role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, contributing to meaningful cases from pre-litigation through trial.

• Mission: To support complex, high-impact litigation matters from initial intake through trial, ensuring efficient case management and successful outcomes.
• Tech Stack: Relativity, DISCO, or similar software

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Manage all aspects of case administration, including maintaining files, calendars, and litigation deadlines from initial intake through resolution.
• Document Production: Coordinate document production, review, and management, effectively utilizing litigation support platforms.
• Trial Preparation: Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials by organizing exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
• Legal Document and Research Support: Draft, proofread, and organize pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents, and conduct legal and factual research as needed.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and outside vendors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of 7 years of litigation paralegal experience, specifically including complex civil litigation.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to support matters through trial and arbitration, along with experience in document review and eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, or similar software.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and written communication skills, a strong understanding of California state and/or federal court procedures, and strong client service abilities.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree and an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate are preferred.
