This role is essential for supporting a busy Global Insurance practice, focusing on complex, high-stakes litigation matters. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative team environment, ensuring attorneys have comprehensive support throughout all phases of the litigation process.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Litigation Support: Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation and trial preparation, including actively attending trials when required, ensuring seamless support from case inception to conclusion.
• Document Preparation: Prepare and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and essential records authorizations, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Discovery Management: Oversee and manage the comprehensive discovery process, involving the review and analysis of medical records, preparation of detailed medical summaries, identification of additional providers, organization and production of documents, and drafting of privilege logs and memoranda.
• Case Coordination: Coordinate critical case logistics, including scheduling and organizing depositions, managing witness communications, and handling other logistical elements to ensure smooth progression of cases.
• Research and E-Discovery: Conduct thorough factual research and investigations using tools like LEXIS and Westlaw, and actively support e-discovery efforts, specifically managing electronically stored information (ESI) and utilizing litigation support tools for case file and database management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate. This role requires foundational knowledge in legal principles and a strong understanding of general liability cases.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of dedicated litigation paralegal experience within a high-volume legal environment. Proven experience with general liability litigation and medical record analysis is specifically required.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational abilities, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and robust technical proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities, coupled with a high level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information, is also essential.
• Bonus: Proficiency with industry-specific tools such as PACER, Relativity, Adobe Acrobat, Trial Director, and various case management systems is preferred.
