The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a respected and growing law firm, located in Los Angeles, CA with a hybrid work schedule. The firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its collaborative legal team. This role is crucial for supporting attorneys through all phases of complex litigation, ensuring efficient case management and meticulous preparation for legal proceedings.

• Mission: Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution and prepare attorneys for all legal proceedings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Document Preparation: Draft, prepare, and organize pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
• Attorney Support: Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
• Electronic Filing: File documents electronically in California state and federal courts.
• Coordination: Coordinate with clients, experts, court personnel, vendors, and opposing counsel.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and deadlines.
• Experience: 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm, including drafting pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and trial-related documents, as well as California state and federal court e-filing.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and legal case management/document management systems. Ability to conduct legal and factual research.
• Bonus: Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree, trial preparation experience, and experience supporting multiple attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
