EYP-DM-Manager | Ernst and Young

The Tone:
This is a full-time Manager role at Ernst and Young, located in India. At EY, you’ll help build a better working world by creating long-term value and trust for clients, people, and society. This position is vital within the Deal Management team, providing hands-on operational support and strategic advice across the entire transaction lifecycle for both buyers and sellers. You will directly contribute to successful transaction outcomes and help clients maximize deal value.

• Mission: To support clients with a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle to achieve successful outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Lead complex carve-out, integration, and Deal Management engagements, overseeing execution, financial analysis, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to deliver successful transaction outcomes.
• Strategic Impact: Drive strategic decision-making by identifying value creation opportunities, resolving critical project issues, and enhancing delivery methodologies, tools, and operating models.
• Client Advisory: Manage client relationships and engagement teams, serving as a trusted advisor to key decision-makers and helping clients maximize deal value throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop high-performing teams, conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Practice Growth: Contribute to practice growth initiatives, including business development, proposal preparation, thought leadership, knowledge management, and capability-building efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Post Graduate degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science or a related field from a premier institute, with foundational knowledge of M&A life cycle, carve-out/integration of a business post-announcement of transaction, and cross-border M&A.
• Experience: 8-12 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience, including operational due diligence, commercial due diligence, and experience in M&A life cycle, carve-out/integration of a business, and cross-border M&A.
• Skills: Financial analysis and cost improvement experience linking operational analysis to P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet; in-depth sector and company insights; proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Strong communication and presentation skills, and willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement.
