Immigration Paralegal | Robert Half
The Tone:
This is an onsite role at a respected law firm in Texas, serving clients in a high-volume business immigration practice. The firm builds legal solutions for complex employment-based matters, requiring a paralegal confident in managing detailed casework and client communication. This position is crucial for contributing to and supporting the firm’s well-established legal team.

• Mission: To support a high-volume business immigration practice by preparing and managing detailed employment-based immigration casework from initiation through filing.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications, legal case management platforms
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare Filings: Assemble employment-based immigration filings, including contract work visa matters, investor and extraordinary ability petitions, permanent residence cases, adjustment applications, and consular processing submissions.
• Draft Documents: Create forms, attorney support letters, petition packets, and other related legal documents for attorney review before submission.
• Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing case updates, explaining document requirements, and managing filing schedules effectively.
• Case Management: Monitor case milestones and government deadlines, while maintaining complete and accurate records within the firm’s case tracking system.
• Ensure Compliance: Review all filings for adherence to applicable immigration regulations and labor-related requirements prior to submission to government agencies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: At least 3 years of paralegal experience, with substantial exposure to employment-based immigration matters and demonstrated knowledge of U.S. business immigration procedures and documentation standards.
• Experience: Hands-on experience preparing petitions such as H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-2, matters involving permanent placement, and employment-based immigrant filings.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication, excellent attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal case management platforms.
• Bonus: A bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred, though comparable practical experience will be considered.
