Litigation Paralegal – West Coast | Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP
The Tone:
This is a full-time, regular hybrid role at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, available across West Coast offices including San Francisco, Silicon Valley, San Diego, Los Angeles, Walnut Creek, or Seattle. • Mission: Provides comprehensive, complex case support to attorneys in all phases of litigation, particularly within trademark inter partes proceedings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Implement and maintain various case management tools to organize, index, and oversee file documents, ensuring accurate docketing and trial calendar monitoring.
• TTAB Proceedings Support: Assist attorneys in all phases of TTAB inter partes proceedings, including drafting and filing various pleadings, managing service requirements, and maintaining record copies.
• Document Production: Manage the entire document production process, including conducting document reviews, preparing outlines and exhibits, and creating privilege and electronic discovery logs.
• Trial Preparation: Coordinate and execute all aspects of trial preparation, including logistics, preparing exhibits, managing deposition designations, and setting up war rooms.
• Legal and Enforcement Research: Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw, perform trademark enforcement investigations of USPTO applications and common law uses, and research social media for infringing content.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required for California, preferred for outside California. Must satisfy requirements of California Business & Professions Code 6450 et seq.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a professional environment, demonstrating progressively increased responsibility in managing litigation matters. Law firm experience is required.
• Skills: High proficiency with electronic research tools such as Westlaw and litigation support applications (e.g., Everchron, West Case Notebook, Case Map). Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Pacer, and electronic filing. Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.
