Corporate Paralegal | Alumus Healthcare

The Tone:
This is a Corporate Paralegal role at Alumus Healthcare. The company has successfully grown to manage and operate four distinct healthcare companies, serving over 1,200 clinicians and associates across Arizona, Washington, and Oregon. This role is crucial for supporting the Legal Department across diverse areas, from corporate governance to litigation, ensuring Alumus Healthcare operates effectively within complex healthcare regulations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Support: Support the Legal Department on a wide range of corporate matters, ensuring legal compliance and operational efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance: Assist with understanding and navigating United States healthcare regulatory frameworks, contributing to the organization’s compliance efforts.
• Transactional and Governance Management: Contribute to transactional, governance, and entity management tasks within the Legal Department’s purview.
• Contract Review and Oversight: Conduct significant healthcare and/or commercial contract review, ensuring agreements align with company policies and legal requirements.
• Risk and Litigation Assistance: Provide support for risk management initiatives, claims processing, and litigation-related matters, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher-level degree, complemented by legal services experience relevant to the healthcare sector.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of legal services experience, gained either in a law firm or an in-house legal department, with significant experience in healthcare and/or commercial contract review.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills; a strong understanding of healthcare legal and regulatory compliance frameworks; detail-orientation with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects; the capacity to appropriately manage privileged and confidential information; and a team-oriented, collaborative approach to client service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, and legal management systems/processes, data, and record keeping is also required.
