• Mission: To expertly drive the meticulous drafting of sophisticated and complex trust and estate planning documents, ensuring the precise preparation of all related legal instruments and serving as a cornerstone in facilitating advanced estate planning strategies for clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Draft Complex Trust Documents: Author sophisticated legal documents including revocable, irrevocable, and other complex trust agreements, with a very strong emphasis on precision and adherence to legal standards.
• Prepare Estate Planning Instruments: Generate a full range of essential estate planning documents such as wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and other related materials.
• Support Advanced Estate Planning: Actively assist attorneys in developing and implementing advanced estate planning strategies, contributing to tailored solutions for diverse client needs.
• Manage Trust Funding & Transfers: Prepare all necessary trust funding documents, including deeds, assignments, and beneficiary designations, to facilitate proper asset allocation and transfer.
• Oversee Document Execution & Records: Coordinate the entire process of document execution and maintain meticulously organized client files to ensure comprehensive, accessible, and accurate record-keeping.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is for a senior Trusts & Estates paralegal with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience, bringing a comprehensive and proven understanding of both core estate planning principles and intricate trust administration processes.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate extensive, hands-on experience in drafting highly complex trust and estate planning documents, reflecting a substantial proficiency developed over at least half a decade within the legal field.
• Skills: The ideal candidate possesses exceptional attention to detail in all tasks; is proficient in managing and prioritizing multiple complex responsibilities effectively within a fast-paced legal environment; and consistently demonstrates empathetic communication when interacting with clients and colleagues.
