What You’ll Actually Do
• Organize documents by accurately filing and indexing correspondence, pleadings, and other essential case materials.
• Coordinate communications with external parties, including clients, courts, opposing counsel, and various vendors.
• Support legal proceedings by assisting with comprehensive preparations for trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Manage digital document flow by scanning materials into the iManage system and distributing them to attorneys and paralegals.
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries, ensuring timely processing and distribution.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, providing foundational knowledge for administrative and legal support functions.
• Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience, specifically utilizing Excel, Microsoft Office, FileSite, and iManage.
• Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills with close attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and comfort with multi-tasking in a team environment while also working independently.
• Bonus: Knowledge of PowerPoint, Milana, trial presentation software, court rules, calendaring, e-filing, and filing procedures is a plus.
