Litigation Paralegal | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

This is a full-time, in-person role at Morgan & Morgan, P.A. A Litigation Paralegal directly supports attorneys in preparing cases and managing legal processes, contributing significantly to successful outcomes for clients.

The TL;DR

• Team: This role will work closely with a lead attorney and litigation assistant.
• Mission: To provide crucial paralegal support for litigation, ensuring efficient case progression and effective representation for consumer rights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Document Management: Prepare and e-file critical legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda, and appellate documents in both state and federal courts.
• Discovery Process Support: Draft and prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses, while also aiding attorneys with discovery requests and maintaining comprehensive indexes.
• Case Organization & Coordination: Organize and maintain all case materials, including pleadings, discovery indexes, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices, ensuring efficient access.
• Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact, facilitating communication with clients, courts, counsel, and other internal and external third parties involved in litigation.
• Trial & Settlement Preparation: Coordinate and summarize depositions, assist with witness preparation, and collaboratively prepare trial binders and exhibits with a legal assistant, contributing to case settlements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires an Associate’s Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, establishing a foundational understanding for a Litigation Paralegal role. Essential experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas is mandatory.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of direct working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services, providing support to an attorney or lawyer within a law firm environment.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to proficiently multitask, organize, and prioritize an extensive workload while maintaining a positive attitude and performing with minimal supervision. Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a nationally accredited paralegal program.
