The Tone:

• Pay: $107,000–$174,900 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Associate General Counsel – New Business, Conflicts and Ethics
• Mission: Identify and resolve potential legal and business conflicts to ensure adherence to firm policies and ethical standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conflict Identification: Identify, report, and address potential ethical and business conflicts of interest and client worthiness issues related to new firm business, growth opportunities, and newly hired personnel.
• Due Diligence Analysis: Provide analysis and critical assessment of due diligence to proactively gather information and work towards resolving identified conflicts or business issues.
• Document Drafting & Review: Draft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters, outside counsel agreements, and other engagement-related documents for compliance with ethical rules and firm policies.
• Ethical Walls Implementation: Establish and implement ethical walls to manage and mitigate potential conflicts effectively.
• Record Keeping & Support: Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for effective information sharing, proactive follow-up, and timely documentation of the conflict clearance process, while also assisting firm personnel in understanding related policies and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor Degree required, active member in good standing in a state bar, and comprehensive knowledge of ethical, legal, and risk management principles.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of legal experience, with a preference for experience within a law firm, and knowledge of law firm conflict clearance and business intake procedures and business organization structures.
• Skills: Exceptional analytical, decisive, and critical thinking skills, ability to communicate concise, timely, accurate, and logical conclusions and recommendations, and excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Skills: Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in an atmosphere with multiple projects and tight deadlines, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for authoritative interaction at all levels.
