Transfer Pricing Manager – Large Corporates | KPMG

This Manager-level role is critical in helping these clients navigate the intricate landscape of international tax and transfer pricing regulations, ensuring their compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing their financial structures through expert advice and strategic guidance.

• Team: Part of KPMG’s Transfer Pricing team, working alongside international tax, indirect tax, and advisory teams, and reporting to senior management.
• Mission: To deliver comprehensive technical transfer pricing advice and manage client relationships for large corporate clients, effectively overseeing projects across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring profitable delivery, and fostering the development of junior team members.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Technical Advisory: Provide specialized technical transfer pricing advice to large corporate clients on a broad range of complex topics, ensuring compliant solutions.
• Client Engagement & Leadership: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and leading day-to-day project delivery across multiple jurisdictions.
• Project Management & Coordination: Manage multiple projects concurrently, tailoring deliverables to client needs and budget, and coordinating with various KPMG tax and advisory teams.
• Financial Management & Business Development: Oversee financial management including project budgets and billing for profitable delivery, while actively identifying new opportunities and managing business development initiatives.
• Team Development: Coach and develop junior team members through training sessions and regular on-the-job coaching to enhance their skills and growth.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Attained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, law, accounting, or an equivalent qualification, or holds a CTA, CA, ACA, or ACCA certification, positioning them at a Manager level.
• Experience: Possesses extensive transfer pricing experience, preferably including expertise in preparing transfer pricing documentation, conducting tax value chain analyses, performing benchmarking studies, and supporting clients with tax authority enquiries or Advance Pricing Agreements. This also includes demonstrated experience in project management and successfully managing junior team members.
• Skills: Exhibits sound judgment, particularly in identifying and evaluating risk issues and knowing when to escalate concerns. Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, a commercial approach to resolving issues, high drive and enthusiasm, and strong commercial awareness. Holds excellent communication and project management skills, with a keen ability to stay technically current and develop the team’s technical abilities, alongside an appreciation for ethical/risk issues within a client service environment. They should also possess very strong people skills for engaging with clients and team members and the ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
