What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Document Preparation: Prepare a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and adherence to legal standards.
• Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal and case law research using appropriate databases and resources to gather critical information and support attorneys in case development.
• Document Review and Management: Systematically review legal documents for relevance, privilege, and key information, and contribute to the proper organization and handling of all legal files.
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive general administrative assistance, including scheduling, correspondence management, and file maintenance, to ensure the smooth operation of legal workflows.
• Communication and Deadline Management: Facilitate effective communication among clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders, while proactively managing and tracking deadlines to ensure timely progress on all legal matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a solid understanding of legal principles and practices, forming a strong foundation for supporting a respected legal services provider.
• Experience: Prior experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with the demands and responsibilities of a legal office environment.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in legal document preparation and document review, alongside strong research skills, particularly in legal and case law research. Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising effectively with clients and colleagues, coupled with strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage time effectively under deadlines. Proficiency with legal and general office software tools is also required.
• Bonus: An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field or paralegal certification is highly desirable, indicating a formal educational background relevant to legal support.
