The Tone:
This is a full-time Paralegal role for a nationwide, well-established law firm that specializes in toxic tort cases. The company, founded in 1974, is a prominent American law firm known for being the first in U.S. history to establish offices in all 50 states, employing over 1,800 attorneys across more than 85 offices. This role is crucial for providing essential litigation support, research, and document management to attorneys, ensuring efficient handling of complex legal proceedings and successful case outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communicate with stakeholders: Professionally and efficiently communicate with clients, contacts, attorneys, and all other professional staff.
• Draft legal documents: Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, performing factual and legal research, and preparing for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Manage client documents: Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
• Organize records and data: Research, organize, and summarize records to assist in data gathering, including organizing information and documents in databases.
• Prepare for trial: Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and providing live trial support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate degree and/or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate is required, coupled with specific experience in toxic tort.
• Experience: Requires experience in litigation support and case management, including drafting and organizing both written discovery and document production, as well as preparing for and assisting at trial. Proficiency with Summation Pro, Relativity, or comparable litigation support software is also necessary.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent analytical and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and robust organizational and technical skills. Familiarity with the Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure is essential.
