The role requires comfort with preparing complex legal documents, supporting trial teams, tracking case deadlines, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare and process various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, warrants, judgments, summonses, affidavits, and other court-related materials.
• Trial Support: Compile comprehensive trial notebooks, jury instructions, witness and exhibit lists, exhibits, charts, photos, and presentation materials for trial teams.
• Citation Verification: Verify citations and statutory references using legal resources, then prepare tables of contents, indices, and reference listings for legal briefs.
• Case Management: Perform docketing and case support utilizing automated case tracking systems, maintaining case calendars and tracking all relevant filing, hearing, and trial dates.
• Administrative Assistance: Assist AUSA staff with legal correspondence, confidential file handling, records organization, visitor/caller support, and general administrative legal support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience performing paralegal or legal support work within a litigation, government, court, law enforcement, or comparable legal office setting.
• Experience: Strong ability to review legal and non-legal documents, including motions and briefs, for accuracy, completeness, and correct formatting.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access or other databases, and Adobe Acrobat Professional; strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally.
• Bonus: Experience with Relativity software.
