Paralegal | Hurley Elder Care Law

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-office role at Hurley Elder Care Law, located in Atlanta, GA. This position is integral to the firm’s focus on elder law, particularly within the sensitive areas of guardianship and conservatorship. The Paralegal will provide essential support to attorneys, ensuring the efficient handling of legal filings, maintaining clear client communication, and managing case progression from initiation through resolution. This role directly contributes to the firm’s mission of delivering compassionate and effective legal services to adult clients requiring guardianship and conservatorship.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Filings Management: Assist attorneys in the meticulous preparation and accurate submission of all necessary legal documents for guardianship and conservatorship cases.
• Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing communication, addressing inquiries, and ensuring they are kept informed throughout their legal process.
• Case Progression: Oversee the day-to-day management of case files, including tracking deadlines, organizing documents, and coordinating with relevant parties to ensure smooth case progression.
• Information Gathering: Collect, organize, and synthesize critical information and documentation required for ongoing guardianship and conservatorship matters.
• Supportive Legal Tasks: Provide paralegal support for secondary responsibilities, specifically assisting with probate and estate planning work as needed by the attorneys.

• Background: Professional paralegal with expertise in legal support for elder care law.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong experience managing guardianship and conservatorship matters, particularly those involving adult clients.
