Litigation Paralegal | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

The Tone:

• Mission: To empower attorneys in protecting consumer rights by managing critical litigation tasks, document preparation, and providing comprehensive support for legal proceedings.

What You’ll Actually Do
Legal Document Drafting & Filing: Prepare and draft essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda, and appellate documents, then accurately e-file all court documents in both state and federal court systems.
Discovery Process Management: Develop and prepare various discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses, and actively assist attorneys in addressing other discovery requests, ensuring timely and compliant information exchange.
Case Information Organization: Maintain comprehensive pleadings and discovery indexes, meticulously organize all exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices, ensuring all case materials are well-managed and readily accessible.
Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clear communication with clients, courts, and outside counsel, and effectively liaise between trial teams and various internal and external third parties.
Trial & Settlement Support: Actively prepare trial binders and exhibits, assist with witness preparation, and provide support for case settlements, contributing directly to the final resolution of legal matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess at least 2 years of working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services, gained under the supervision of an attorney or lawyer within a law firm setting.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively, and handle a demanding workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
• Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills for clear interaction with clients, courts, and counsel, coupled with exceptional attention to detail in all legal documentation and case management.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include prior experience in Personal Injury (PI) or General Liability cases, an Associate’s Degree, a certificate, or equivalent professional work experience, or completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program.
