2027 Capital Markets, Corporate Banking Summer Analyst | RBC

The Tone:
This is a 10-week U.S. Summer Analyst program at RBC Capital Markets, located in New York, NY. RBC Capital Markets is a premier investment bank that provides focused products and services to corporations, institutional investors, and governments globally. As part of RBC, one of the top 15 largest banks in the world, the Summer Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Corporate Banking platform. What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage the credit origination, execution, and portfolio management cycle across various Corporate Banking industry verticals.
• Conduct due diligence for new lending transactions by analyzing company filings, financial statements, and research reports, and attending management presentations.
• Prepare internal credit presentations and related submission documentation, including detailed written credit analyses and integrated financial models.
• Assess companies’ business models, financial projections, deal structures, and investment merits through collaboration with Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, and Risk Management teams.
• Assist senior team members with portfolio management, administration, reporting, pipeline management, and other special projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program with a focus in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field, graduating in Spring 2028 or December 2027.
• Experience: No specific years of prior work experience required for the must-have.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to manage priorities and tight deadlines; genuine interest in capital markets, finance, and banking; intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Minimum of 1 relevant internship experience, preferably within the financial services industry; basic understanding of loan and capital markets products.
