UX Research/Design Sr Principal | PepsiCo

What You’ll Actually Do
Strategic Definition: Help Product Owners define high-level concepts and customer value propositions for new products and services.
Design Leadership: Lead client-facing meetings and workshops, articulating design rationale and inspiring innovative approaches.
Information Architecture: Design frameworks to organize information, guiding users to understand how products and services function over time.
Solution Visualization: Create visual solutions through models, wireframes, documentation, and prototypes to demonstrate user interactions.
Experience Guidance: Provide expert guidance on product design to ensure solutions are useful, usable, effective, desirable, and differentiated for users and businesses.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related design field such as user experience, design strategy, interaction design, or visual and content design is required. This is a Senior Principal role requiring extensive experience.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in specialization like user experience, design strategy, interaction design, or visual and content design. Proven history of running client engagements, delivering results on time, and working with design systems, components, and extensible assets.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in digital design software (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, AfterEffects); proficient in front-end web development (HTML/JS/CSS) and rapid prototyping techniques; master facilitator with strong public speaking, storytelling, and presentation skills; expert in creating experience maps, user journeys, service blueprints, interaction models, flows, high-fidelity wireframes, and UI/visual design.
• Bonus: Master’s degree (MS/MFA) preferred; willingness to broaden skillset into adjacent specializations; familiarity and experience with AI tools for design; CPG industry experience is preferred.
