Summer Legal Consultant | Broadridge
The Tone:
This is a seasonal role at Broadridge, a global Financial Technology (FinTech) leader that cultivates a culture where empowering others to accomplish more is the highest goal. Broadridge defines its environment through collaboration and innovation, seeking high-potential law students to join its Legal team. This ten-week experience, beginning in June 2026, is designed to provide hands-on exposure to crucial in-house legal work. The Summer Legal Consultant will gain insight into how legal, regulatory, and compliance functions support the technology and financial services that power global markets.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on corporate, securities, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Drafting: Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documentation.
• Summarize: Prepare summaries of statutes, regulations, and case law impacting Broadridge’s businesses.
• Support: Support team with project-based work.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams on day‑to‑day legal initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current 1L or 2L law student enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school, with coursework or interest in corporate law, securities regulation, financial regulation, privacy/data protection, contracts, or compliance.
• Experience: Strong academic standing; demonstrated legal research and writing skills.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis); strong communication skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Bonus: Interest in the intersection of law, technology, and financial markets; 2Ls preferred; prior legal, regulatory, or compliance experience.
