The Tone:
This is an experienced paralegal role for a leading medical malpractice firm located in Florida. Michael Aaron Staffing has partnered with this firm to find a highly skilled individual who can provide essential support to a busy litigation practice. This role is crucial for managing complex medical malpractice matters independently and ensuring the legal team operates efficiently from case inception through trial. The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor, vital to the successful navigation of complex legal cases.

• Mission: Independently manages complex medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, providing comprehensive support to the legal team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Manage medical malpractice case files effectively from the initial intake process through their final resolution.
• Document Preparation: Draft a variety of legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and professional correspondence.
• Record Analysis: Review, meticulously organize, and accurately summarize extensive medical records.
• Litigation Coordination: Coordinate arrangements for depositions, manage communications with expert witnesses, and prepare for trial proceedings.
• Calendar Management: Maintain litigation calendars diligently and ensure all critical deadlines are met consistently.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with a strong understanding of medical malpractice litigation and robust knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures.
• Experience: Proven ability to manage complex legal cases from their inception through trial, including experience reviewing and summarizing medical records.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and case management skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and a detail-oriented, proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Bonus: Previous direct experience in medical malpractice litigation is a plus.
