This is a contract-based position at KLDiscovery, located on-site in New York City, with an anticipated start date in August 2026. This role is crucial for supporting an upcoming high-profile litigation, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a matter involving complex legal and social dynamics. The chosen attorney will play a vital role in ensuring thorough legal review and analysis, contributing directly to the success of this significant case over an expected duration of several months, with potential for extension.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Review and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive document review and in-depth analysis of legal materials to identify key information and themes relevant to the litigation.
• Legal Research and Drafting: Perform legal research as necessary to support case developments and draft clear, precise memoranda to articulate findings and strategies.
• Discovery Assistance: Provide hands-on support for various discovery-related tasks, ensuring efficient and organized management of case materials.
• Deposition Defense: Potentially defend depositions for candidates who possess relevant prior experience and demonstrate readiness for this responsibility.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school is a fundamental requirement. Candidates must also hold active admission to practice law in New York State.
• Experience: Prior experience specifically in document review is mandatory for this role, demonstrating a proven capability in legal document analysis. Applicants are required to provide a writing sample to showcase their skills.
• Skills: Possess strong legal writing and analytical skills, essential for effective document analysis, legal research, and drafting. The ability to work diligently and effectively onsite in New York City for the entire project duration is also a key requirement.
• Bonus: Federal court admission, specifically in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) or Eastern District of New York (EDNY), is considered a valuable plus, though not strictly required. Prior experience in litigation is also preferred for candidates applying for this position.
