What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Document Preparation: Skillfully draft and type a broad range of legal documents, including, but not limited to, contracts, motions, pleadings, and various forms, ensuring precise formatting and content accuracy in collaboration with legal professionals.
• Professional Correspondence Management: Compose, review, and finalize all forms of professional correspondence for attorneys, clients, and external parties, managing both incoming and outgoing communications to ensure clarity, proper tone, and timely dispatch.
• Thorough Document Review and Proofreading: Conduct meticulous proofreading and editing of all legal documents, reports, and communications to identify and correct any errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and legal citations, upholding the firm’s standards for accuracy.
• Systematic Filing and Record Keeping: Implement and maintain highly organized physical and electronic filing systems for all case files, client documents, and sensitive legal information, ensuring efficient retrieval and compliance with confidentiality protocols.
• Data Management and Administrative Support: Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create, update, and manage spreadsheets for tracking case progress, billing, contact information, and other administrative data, providing essential support to the real estate practice group.

The Must-Haves
• Background: The ideal candidate will possess a solid professional background in legal administration, demonstrating a clear understanding of law firm operations and the specific demands of supporting a legal practice group. Critical for this role is previous experience directly within the real estate legal sector.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience is required, gained from working in a law firm in a similar capacity, such as a Practice Assistant, Paralegal, or an equivalent legal administrative support role. This experience must include hands-on involvement with real estate legal matters.
• Skills:
• Comprehensive administrative proficiency, encompassing the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a high level of organization in a demanding legal environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in the drafting and precise typing of complex legal documents and professional correspondence.
• Advanced competency in word processing software and an exceptional eye for detail in proofreading legal texts to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong capabilities in managing and organizing extensive physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring efficient document retrieval and adherence to record-keeping standards.
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, reporting, and other administrative functions crucial to the real estate practice group.
