The Tone:
This is a full-time role at MarshBerry, a growing financial services consulting firm providing innovative solutions to independent insurance agents, brokers, carriers, and wealth advisors. The company helps clients learn, improve, and realize their value by offering financial, operational, sales management, M&A advisory, peer-to-peer exchange, and information services. This Vice President position is critical for leading transaction teams, driving growth, and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of key investment banking and consulting services, directly impacting client trust and company objectives.

• Mission: To lead transaction teams, drive growth, and ensure effective delivery of merger and acquisition advisory, business valuation, due diligence, and financial consulting projects for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Leadership: Serve as the primary client-facing lead for merger and acquisition and financial consulting projects, developing strategic approaches and overseeing implementation to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
• Deal Management: Manage both sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory engagements, encompassing financial analysis, modeling, due diligence, buyer/seller identification, deal structuring, negotiations, and oversight of the daily deal process through to a successful closing.
• Business Development: Seek and coordinate new business opportunities within current product lines and identify new service offerings through active relationship building, developing marketing strategies, and responding to inquiries.
• Team Management: Direct and coach team members, manage workflow and priorities, provide consistent and constructive feedback, monitor progress, and complete performance management reviews for direct reports.
• Content Creation: Research, write, and structure client-ready work, conduct quality reviews of project components, and publish articles on topics affecting the insurance distribution system, such as transaction advisory and financial consulting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management, with a career level equivalent to Vice President within investment banking or consulting domains.
• Experience: 6-10+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, law, assurance services, financial consulting, or financial services, including proven experience leading work teams.
• Skills: Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving techniques, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Master’s degree and/or Juris Doctor, professional designations or certifications such as CPA, CVA, CPCU, and/or AM&AA, ability to travel up to 40%, and willingness to work flexible or extended hours as needed.
