Junior Financial Analyst | CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC
The Tone:

This position is vital for assisting in the financial analysis of assigned branches and satellite offices, providing corporate management with essential insights into performance and identifying key drivers. The Junior Financial Analyst plays a key part in maintaining, managing, and developing the company’s accounting management system, Workday, and collaborating with branch reporting teams to understand financial volatility and improve reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Workday System Administration: Provide administrative support and backup to the Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis team, assisting in building out the Workday system, creating new reports, and contributing to automation projects.
• Business Model Insights: Learn the CrossCountry Mortgage business model thoroughly to provide informed recommendations and valuable insights after compiling and processing financial data.
• Financial Irregularity Investigation: Collaborate closely with Accounting and Branch Reporting personnel to investigate and gain a deep understanding of profit and loss statement irregularities across assigned branches.
• Reporting & Business Intelligence Enhancement: Visually display and clearly summarize discoveries from data analysis, while also enhancing current reporting and introducing new analytics aimed at improving visibility for branches through business intelligence and various metrics.
• Efficiency Analysis & Recommendations: Analyze large data sets from disparate systems using advanced Excel functions to draw conclusions and provide actionable recommendations for introducing business and/or financial efficiencies, including performing ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Level career with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Not specified.
• Skills: Excellent Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling), strong attention to detail, effective communication, and robust analytical capabilities.
• Bonus: Mortgage industry experience is preferred, specifically related to software such as Workday, EDGE, and Encompass.
