What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide assistance to 2-3 attorneys in state and federal court cases.
• Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and discovery.
• Calendar Management: Manage multiple attorneys’ calendars and schedule depositions and meetings.
• Filing & Compliance: File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative and office support duties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A background in legal support for state and federal court litigation, with a focus on insurance defense.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems, ability to handle confidential information with discretion, knowledge of Illinois court procedures.
• Bonus: Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a law firm setting.
