The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Neill Law Firm, located in an office environment. Neill Law Firm provides legal services, supporting clients with professional counsel and representation. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the legal team, directly assisting attorneys and paralegals in managing case files, preparing documents, and maintaining vital communications. The Paralegal Assistant’s contributions directly enable the firm to deliver efficient and organized legal support to its clients.

• Mission: To provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring efficient document management, client communication, and case file organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals within the firm.
• Document Preparation: Prepare, proofread, and format various legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and reports.
• File Management: Organize and diligently maintain both physical and electronic case files, ensuring easy access and proper record-keeping.
• Court Filings: File legal documents with courts and government agencies, utilizing both electronic filing systems and in-person delivery when required.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule and coordinate client meetings, depositions, hearings, and court appearances to manage legal timelines effectively.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Relevant education or equivalent experience in a legal environment, with a preference for an Associate degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, demonstrating a willingness to learn new legal case management software.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Previous experience working in a law office or legal environment.
