Legal Assistant | Farah & Farah Personal Injury Lawyers
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Farah & Farah Personal Injury Lawyers, located in a Farah & Farah office location. The firm is committed to being the premier personal injury law firm, guiding clients through the complex legal system to deliver justice while treating everyone with dignity and respect. This role is an essential member of the Pre-Litigation team, providing critical support to case managers and attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through demand and resolution. The Legal Assistant ensures efficient case handling and a positive client experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management Support: Assist in gathering, organizing, and maintaining all case-related documents, including medical records, police reports, and witness statements, ensuring files are accurate and up-to-date. You will also prepare correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents as directed by case managers and attorneys, while tracking deadlines for timely task completion.
• Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular case updates, answering inquiries, and coordinating meetings (phone, email, in-person) to gather necessary documentation and maintain a positive, empathetic rapport.
• Medical Records Management: Oversee the request, review, and summarization of medical records and bills, coordinating with medical providers to obtain additional information or clarification as needed, and tracking treatment progress to update the team.
• Administrative Support: Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by managing multiple schedules, scheduling and coordinating meetings, and handling general office operations such as managing onsite files, incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, faxes, and phone calls.
• Firm Operations & Compliance: Open new case files and input data into case management software, maintain contact information databases, handle communication with field associates and vendors, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent, with an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: Experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is preferred, specifically within personal injury law.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), excellent organizational skills, strong time management abilities, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bonus: Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
