The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a plaintiff-side employment litigation firm, located in California. This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s growing caseload by focusing on substantive drafting of core litigation documents, thereby enabling the legal team to effectively pursue justice for their clients.

• Mission: To provide critical drafting support for plaintiff-side employment litigation, specifically complaints, discovery, and core litigation documents.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Complaint Drafting: Draft various complaints, including single-plaintiff, class action, and amended complaints, to initiate legal proceedings.
• PAGA & Pleading Preparation: Prepare PAGA notices and develop discovery shells and templates for efficient document creation.
• Discovery Drafting: Prepare comprehensive discovery documents such as form and special interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Litigation Correspondence: Draft meet & confer correspondence and assist attorneys with the drafting of motions to compel.
• Support & Evidence: Draft declarations and supporting statements, and summarize records and evidence for thorough case development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with a background in litigation paralegal work, ideally within plaintiff-side employment law, wage & hour, wrongful termination, or personal injury.
• Experience: At least 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with specific experience drafting complaints and written discovery.
• Skills: Strong familiarity with California civil procedure, coupled with excellent legal writing and proofreading skills.
• Bonus: Experience in employment law, class action, or PAGA matters is a strong plus.
