The Tone:
This is a full-time Administrative Assistant position at Beth Israel Lahey Health, located in Beverly, MA. It is a fully onsite position, requiring presence Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communication: Answer and screen telephone calls, take accurate messages, direct calls appropriately, and greet and direct patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Documentation & Correspondence: Type, prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence and various documents to meet quality standards, drafting routine communications as needed.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule appointments and meetings, maintain calendars for assigned staff, and assist with preparations for departmental events like conferences and seminars.
• Patient Support: Update patient demographic and insurance information, obtain specialist referrals, schedule patient appointments, and maintain patient records for physicians.
• Administrative Operations: Organize and maintain department files, records, and databases, perform routine clerical duties such as mail handling, photocopying, and document distribution, and process administrative forms.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 0-1 years of related work experience, including experience with computer systems, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), strong organizational skills for managing files and schedules, and effective communication and customer service skills for diverse interactions.
