Pre-Litigation Paralegal – Injury | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

• Mission: Assist attorneys in developing settlements and managing personal injury case files for consumers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Interaction: Interact daily with existing and potential clients both via telephone and in person.
• Document Procurement: Order medical records from providers and obtain other documents necessary to support injury and liability positions.
• Carrier & Provider Coordination: Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances.
• Demand Preparation: Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble supporting documentation for submission to carriers under attorney supervision.
• Case File Management: Manage case files from intake to closing under the direct supervision of an attorney, ensuring organized records.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A background in personal injury law or insurance claims, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a legal position, as a Personal Injury Case Manager, Pre-Litigation Paralegal, or a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster (strongly preferred).
• Skills: Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision, strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail, and extensive computer expertise including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing no less than 35 wpm.
• Bonus: Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
