What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing and accurately filing immigration petitions, applications, and comprehensive supporting documentation.
• File Management: Diligently maintain and organize all client files, both physical and electronic, ensuring their accuracy and confidentiality.
• Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients to gather essential information and provide them with timely and clear case updates.
• Case Workflow Management: Proactively monitor critical case deadlines and efficiently manage case calendars to ensure the smooth operation of all workflows.
• Language Interpretation: Translate necessary legal documents or accurately interpret client communications, utilizing fluency in Fulani.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Political Science, English, or a closely related field. Career level: Early Career.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required; however, prior experience in immigration law or general legal support is preferred to demonstrate foundational understanding.
• Skills: Demonstrate fluent proficiency in both English and Fulani. Possess strong organizational and time-management abilities, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and legal case management software.
• Bonus: Additional foreign language proficiency beyond Fulani is considered a valuable asset.
