Finance & Strategy Analyst | Stripe

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Stripe, located in one of our various office locations with an expectation of at least 50% in-office time monthly. Stripe operates as a financial infrastructure platform, enabling millions of businesses, from startups to large enterprises, to accept payments, grow revenue, and seize new opportunities. This role is crucial for the Finance and Strategy team, serving as a key thought partner to functional leaders by ensuring financial predictability and stewarding resource investments to improve Stripe’s long-term financial performance. You will specifically help with forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the Go-to-Market and Partnerships teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Support: Leverage your financial expertise to support and influence critical strategic and business decisions.
• Investment Analysis: Design and apply analytical rigor to measure the efficiency and return on investment (ROI) for headcount and non-headcount expenses.
• Process Management: Drive reporting, process, and discipline for finance routines, including budget, forecast, monthly reviews, and long-range plans, to influence decision-making.
• Model Development: Build and own comprehensive financial models for in-depth analyses, ensuring their quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Performance Metrics: Define key metrics and leading indicators to effectively assess and communicate business performance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: 4–6 years of relevant experience in strategic finance or FP&A.
• Experience: Proven ability to build integrated financial models from scratch, experience driving and executing on finance processes like budgeting and forecast reviews, and a track record of building strong collaborative working relationships with business partners.
• Skills: A keen eye for detail in financial analysis, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
• Bonus: Experience working at a high-growth technology or financial services company, experience managing headcount and operating expenses, experience supporting Go-to-Market, Investment Banking, or Product Functions, and familiarity with Oracle, Anaplan, Tableau, or other equivalent applications.
