This critical role ensures the accurate and timely tracking of all legal deadlines, directly supporting the firm’s litigation efforts. Your meticulous work is essential for managing the complex schedules involved in asbestos and toxic tort cases.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $55000–$65000 yearly
• Mission: Owns the accurate and timely tracking of all legal deadlines, particularly in asbestos/toxic tort matters.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, ProLaw, Compulaw, EDockets

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Incoming Mail: Receive and process all mail requiring calendaring for action.
• Maintain Calendar Accuracy: Keep electronic calendars current and complete for all legal proceedings.
• Track Critical Deadlines: Monitor and record discovery, pre-trial, motion, and deposition deadlines.
• Support Specific Groups: Extend calendaring services as needed for various legal teams.
• Specialize in Toxic Tort: Apply expertise to asbestos and toxic tort-specific calendaring requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduation from high school or equivalent; legal experience specializing in asbestos/toxic tort.
• Experience: Minimum three (3) years experience in a law firm; proficiency with all State and Federal Court deadlines; familiarity with a law firm calendaring system.
• Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Word skills; comfortable with a variety of computer software programs; minimum typing requirement of 50 wpm; highly organized; self-motivated; willing to learn.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the EDockets calendaring system.
