What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Lifecycle Management: Take ownership of the full contract lifecycle, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, tracking, and managing records for a variety of agreements and legal correspondence.
• Legal & Corporate Document Administration: Prepare, edit, and maintain all legal and corporate documents, ensuring they meet organizational standards and support corporate governance needs.
• Compliance & Policy Development: Draft and maintain corporate policies, governance documents, and related legal materials, while also supporting key compliance initiatives like the SafeSport program.
• Operational Enhancement & Support: Develop and improve departmental procedures to enhance efficiency and workflow, alongside providing administrative and project support to designated volunteer committees.
• Specialized Legal Support: Conduct legal research, analyze documents and regulations, and prepare specific documentation such as visa letters, athlete transfer documents, and eligibility-related materials.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required. This role requires three to five years of experience providing support to attorneys in a corporate legal environment with a consistently high-volume workload. Candidates must possess a strong foundational knowledge of contracts, corporate legal documents, and legal administrative processes.
• Experience: Demonstrate three to five years of dedicated experience supporting attorneys within a corporate legal setting, accustomed to managing a high volume of tasks and responsibilities.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, enabling effective management of multiple deadlines. Possess the ability to research, analyze, interpret, and accurately apply legal, regulatory, and business information. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, necessary for preparing professional correspondence, reports, and policies, and interacting effectively with all stakeholders. Exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with utmost discretion, while remaining detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable.
• Bonus: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school is a distinct advantage for this position. Prior experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) or other contract management software is also preferred.
