• Team: Nationwide Trial Division, reporting to a Managing Trial Attorney
• Mission: Provide pre-trial and trial support to legal professionals representing clients under commercial and personal lines insurance policies.
• Tech Stack: Federal and state e-filing and e-Court systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Legal Files

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide comprehensive pre-trial and trial support for complex litigated matters, drafting and reviewing motions, pleadings, discovery, and subpoenas, while independently conducting legal research and writing assignments.
• Organize and coordinate workflow by maintaining filing and follow-up systems, scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings, and communicating with clients and expert witnesses.
• Deliver administrative support to trial teams, retrieving document management information, assembling exhibits for court filings and trials, and ensuring compliance with court procedures and local rules.
• Mentor and train new and existing Paralegals and Senior Paralegals on organizational policies and processes, assisting with onboarding new members of the trial team.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding attorney-client privilege, trial strategies, and client identities, adhering to ethical rules and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Certification in paralegal studies or demonstrated insurance litigation related paralegal experience.
• Experience: Eight years of experience in a paralegal capacity doing demonstrated insurance related litigation.
• Skills: Superior knowledge of assigned case files, advanced legal research and writing, proficiency with e-filing and e-Court systems, strong organizational skills, and adaptability to new systems.
• Bonus: Undergraduate studies in business administration or insurance, understanding of personal and commercial lines policies, and experience with case management databases like Legal Files.
