• Mission: To provide essential direct assistance to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation and trial work, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of necessary legal documents and organization of case information.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and interrogatories, necessary for effective litigation and trial work.
• Case Information Management: Systematically collect, summarize, and meticulously organize all relevant information, data, and evidence to facilitate attorneys’ use in hearings or trials.
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research to support proceedings, aiding in the formulation of a defense, cause of action, and the initiation of legal proceedings, gathering and analyzing relevant statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, and documents.
• Record Keeping and Verification: Prepare, organize, and verify for accuracy all case research, notes, medical records, legal documents, and client materials, performing necessary editing and proofreading.
• Factual Investigation: Assist attorneys by thoroughly investigating facts and researching public, private, and medical records pertinent to legal proceedings, ensuring all information is accurate and readily available.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A knowledgeable, talented, and driven individual prepared to provide direct assistance to attorneys in an insurance defense practice group, supporting litigation and trial processes.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in drafting various legal documents such as complaints, motions, answers, and other pleadings, coupled with proven ability to perform legal research, manage correspondence, and knowledge of local rules of court.
• Skills: Possesses strong written and oral communication abilities, excellent computer proficiency, strong organizational capabilities, and consistently maintains a professional presentation.
• Bonus: Experience specifically in personal injury or prior insurance defense work is preferred for this role, showcasing relevant domain knowledge.
