What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to assigned attorneys, ensuring their legal practices run smoothly and efficiently.
• Legal Document Preparation: Independently draft, format, and finalize critical legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motion preparation for various court proceedings.
• E-Discovery Management: Engage in e-discovery processes, managing and organizing electronic documents relevant to ongoing cases to facilitate legal proceedings.
• Court Filings and Case Management: Execute accurate e-filing procedures in both state and federal courts, manage case docketing, and ensure compliance with all relevant rules and administrative procedures.
• Document and Exhibit Handling: Conduct thorough document reviews and prepare exhibits, ensuring all materials are ready and properly presented for court filings and other legal requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with State and Federal Rules and Administrative Procedures relevant to legal practice.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a legal secretary within a law firm environment, encompassing specific knowledge and practical experience in e-filing in state and federal court, robust case management practices, docketing, e-discovery, document review, and exhibit preparation. While this experience level is preferred, the firm emphasizes that this position is also open to candidates across all experience levels.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, coupled with excellent analytical capabilities, strong written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and superior organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include prior experience with filing and serving documents out of State and within the Court of Appeals, as well as beneficial experience with Compulaw software.
