The Financial Consulting Analyst will empower clients to deeply understand their business performance, proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks, establish measurable objectives, and make more confident, data-driven decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive, recurring financial and operational reports for small-business owners and leadership teams, organizing income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow data into clear, client-ready formats.
• Performance Monitoring: Calculate and diligently monitor key financial and operational metrics such as revenue growth, gross profit, utilization, and project profitability, comparing actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods to identify significant trends and variances.
• Financial Modeling: Build, update, and rigorously maintain Excel-based financial models, schedules, and reporting tools, ensuring clean data organization, validated inputs, and clearly labeled assumptions for accuracy.
• Consulting Engagement Support: Prepare essential materials for client meetings, financial strategy sessions, and leadership gatherings, actively supporting consultants with targeted research, detailed data analysis, and thorough client follow-up items.
• Quality & Process Improvement: Review all deliverables meticulously for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and professional presentation, while actively following established reporting processes and identifying opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. Entry-level understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience: Up to two years of relevant experience, with strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and charts.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Internship experience in financial analysis or consulting, familiarity with QuickBooks Online, exposure to financial modeling or data visualization tools like Power BI, and a genuine interest in helping small-business owners succeed.
