Real Estate Paralegal | Morrison Foerster
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Morrison Foerster, located in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY. This Paralegal position is critical for providing organizational and substantive support to the firm’s Real Estate practice group, directly enabling the successful execution of complex real estate transactions and contributing to the firm’s overall success story.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Review and prepare real estate and loan closing documents, including deeds, easements, and related transactional materials.
• Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including title and survey review, and analyze third-party, zoning, UCC, bankruptcy, title, and entity reports.
• Closing Coordination: Prepare closing checklists and documents, then coordinate real estate transaction closings.
• Entity Management: Conduct entity searches and prepare, file, and maintain formation and governance documents.
• Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt procedures to meet business needs while applying analytical and technology skills.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree preferred, with core domain knowledge in commercial real estate. The role requires an understanding of complex real estate transactions and legal processes to effectively support attorneys.
• Experience: Four years of commercial real estate experience within a law firm environment is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple projects, accurately follow complex instructions, and meet deadlines even under pressure with shifting priorities.
• Skills: Possess strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a high degree of accountability. The ability to work independently, proactively resolve issues with minimal supervision, research, synthesize complex information, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required.
• Bonus: A Notary Public license is considered a plus. Flexibility to work overtime and travel as business needs require is also beneficial for this role.
