Investment Banking ECM Analyst | Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., located in New York, NY. Oppenheimer is a leading middle-market investment bank and full-service broker-dealer, engaged in a broad range of activities within the financial services industry. This position provides Investment Banking ECM Analysts with extensive access to senior management and clients, offering significant responsibilities and opportunities to develop knowledge and skills early in their career through small transaction teams.

• Mission: This role supports Equity, SPAC, and Convertibles transactions across Oppenheimer’s core coverage sectors, delivering capital and strategies to high-growth, entrepreneurial, middle-market companies.
• Tech Stack: Dealogic, Ipreo, CapIQ, FactSet, PlacementTracker, Bloomberg, MS Office suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Pitch Development: Prepare client pitch materials and complex financial models.
• Market Analysis: Evaluate current and historical market data to support recommendations to clients.
• Transaction Support: Support Equity, SPAC, and Convertibles transactions across all of Oppenheimer’s core coverage sectors.
• Execution Management: Manage the execution of equity and equity-linked offerings and communicate with the client’s Management team and key external parties.
• Data Management: Research and maintain team databases.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Level career professional with a sales-driven mentality and strong capital markets acumen.
• Experience: Must have 1+ years of full-time work experience.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product; strong work ethic and team player capabilities. Proficiency with Dealogic, Ipreo, CapIQ, FactSet, PlacementTracker, Bloomberg, and MS Office suite knowledge is strongly preferred. FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses are required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter.
• Bonus: Experience with Equity, SPAC, or Convertibles transactions is preferred.
