The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Confidential Careers, located in NYC or open to Remote. Our investment banking platform is actively expanding, operating in the emerging growth and small-cap/lower-middle-market ecosystem. We provide our Managing Directors with a nimble execution engine capable of seamlessly running traditional M&A alongside a high volume of public and private capital markets products. This flat, nimble environment allows for pursuing and structuring creative deals that larger, rigid institutions pass on, making the role critical for leading and scaling coverage across key industry verticals by driving origination and delivering strategic advisory to micro- to small-cap public issuers and private founder-led businesses.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive Origination: Leverage established executive and investor networks to proactively secure sell-side/buy-side M&A mandates and corporate capital raises across the emerging growth and small-cap/lower-middle-market ecosystem.
• Deliver Strategic Advisory: Guide micro- to small-cap public issuers and private founder-led businesses through complex corporate finance lifecycles, offering tailored advice for their unique situations.
• Collaborate Effectively: Partner seamlessly with a dedicated, sharp junior execution pool and an agile sales/trading desk to efficiently price, structure, and distribute a wide range of transactions.
• Lead Industry Coverage: Lead and scale investment banking coverage across one of four key industry verticals: Healthcare (Biotech, MedTech, Services), Technology (SaaS, Enterprise, FinTech), Industrials (Advanced Manufacturing, Logistics, Aerospace), or Consumer (E-commerce, Food & Beverage, Brands).
• Execute Transactions: Manage and oversee the execution of traditional M&A alongside a high volume of public and private capital markets products, including IPOs, Follow-ons, Registered Directs (RDs), Confidentially Marketed Public Offerings (CMPOs), Private Investments in Public Equity (PIPEs), and At-The-Market (ATM) offerings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive with deep domain expertise and existing executive relationships within Healthcare, Tech, Industrials, or Consumer.
• Experience: 10+ years of dedicated investment banking experience, with a verifiable track record of fee generation in the lower-middle-market or small-cap space.
• Skills: Fluency across both traditional M&A and equity capital markets (ECM) mechanics; active FINRA Series 79 license; active FINRA Series 63 license.
