This is a full-time, on-site role at Cullen Family Law Group, located in Riverside, CA. What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct legal research, analyze statutes and case law, and summarize findings in organized memoranda.
• Document Preparation: Assist with drafting and formatting pleadings, motions, declarations, and discovery requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Case Management: Organize case files, maintain calendars and deadlines, and prepare attorneys for various legal proceedings including hearings and trials.
• Communication: Communicate case updates with attorneys and staff, and professionally interact with clients in an empathetic manner when appropriate.
• Technology Use: Utilize legal software and office technology to support efficient case management and workflow.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment in or completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or a paralegal program, or equivalent legal training, is required. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in family law or general legal principles, demonstrated through relevant coursework or practical experience that supports effective case analysis and application.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and declarations, alongside careful review of forms and court filings for accuracy.
• Skills: Excellent legal research skills, including the ability to effectively use legal research tools to analyze statutes and case law, and present findings clearly. Strong writing and communication abilities are essential for producing well-structured legal documents and interacting professionally with all parties. Candidates must exhibit keen attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Bonus: Prior family law experience or a relevant internship is preferred.
