In-house Litigation Paralegal | Lennar

This role provides foundational legal support to attorneys and senior paralegals, focusing on developing essential research, drafting, and administrative skills. The position is crucial for supporting day-to-day legal operations and ensuring accurate record-keeping within the legal team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Matter Intake: Conduct preliminary matter intake by gathering relevant facts, identifying basic legal issues, and routing information to legal team members.
• Legal Research: Perform basic legal research and assist in summarizing findings to support litigation matters, legal projects, and attorney review.
• Litigation Holds: Support the litigation hold process by preparing and maintaining documentation, assisting with releases, and tracking the system.
• Document Preparation: Prepare routine legal documents, templates, and administrative materials, including proofreading and obtaining execution signatures.
• Record Management: Manage document organization, filing, and matter tracking, ensuring accurate maintenance of legal records and shared drives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant, and/or paralegal certification.
• Experience: 1-5 years of Paralegal experience, including working across corporate departments and supporting executives in corporate legal projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, excellent written and verbal English communication skills, impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading abilities.
• Bonus: A consummate team player who interacts well with co-workers, supervisors, and management, maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude.
