Finance Analyst, BlueOval Battery Park Michigan | Ford Motor Company

The Tone:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative Finance Team, utilizing data to influence decisions and support finance, accounting, and operating management. The role is critical in helping the company drive financial efficiency and achieve its strategic objectives, and requires full flexibility to consistently work across various established shift schedules, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Support critical financial deliverables including daily operational reporting, comprehensive monthly close and forecast processes, and ad-hoc financial efficiency analysis to identify performance gaps, mitigate risks, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Forecasting & Performance Metrics: Develop and refine physicals-based forecasts to support critical decision-making and strategic planning initiatives, while providing real-time, impactful key performance measures to operations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Budgeting & Business Planning: Support the development of the Annual Budget and Multi-Year Business Plan with business partners, which includes physicals-based plans to deliver cost targets, optimize resource allocation, and perform “should cost” assessments.
• Compliance & Controls: Maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Process & Tool Implementation: Adopt and facilitate the use of advanced financial models and analytical tools to increase cost efficiency and support the implementation of business processes, collaborating cross-functionally to validate with new business systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, internal control mindset, financial analysis, and budgeting with financial modeling skills.
• Skills: Proficiency with financial and accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office (specifically advanced Excel skills); excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex business processes with high attention to detail and accuracy, capable of working with large data sets; strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders at all levels, and strong presenter; self-starter, willing learner, well-organized, and able to manage concurrent projects.
• Bonus: Knowledge of other analytical tools such as Alteryx or Power BI.
