The Tone:

The firm is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support multiple attorneys who manage a high volume of cases. This position is vital for ensuring the efficient flow of legal operations, directly contributing to the attorneys’ ability to effectively represent clients. What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Draft and meticulously prepare a wide range of essential legal documents, including detailed correspondence, comprehensive discovery requests, and formal pleadings.
• Case Information Management: Conduct thorough and precise reviews of case files, ensuring all information is accurate, and proactively obtain necessary medical records to support ongoing litigation.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Maintain and diligently organize complex attorney calendars, scheduling critical deadlines, depositions, Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), and various meetings with precision.
• Administrative Support: Efficiently manage all incoming mail, accurately track tasks, and provide timely reminders to ensure the smooth progression of each case within the demanding legal environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary, specifically supporting multiple attorneys with a high volume caseload within an insurance defense firm setting.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellence in computer proficiency, including fluency in utilizing Outlook and Word for daily tasks; strong communication and organizational skills essential for managing legal workflows; the proven ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced legal environment; and practical knowledge of NJ Court Rules.
• Bonus: Qualities of a quick learner, coupled with a strong work ethic, high energy, and meticulous attention to detail.
