The Tone:
This is an experienced professional role with a full-service, national law firm, supported by Michael Page. This firm, nationally recognized as a “Great Place to Work” with over 450 attorneys across 18 offices, is seeking a specialist to partner with attorneys in their nationally ranked litigation team. This role is critical for ensuring legal deadlines are accurately tracked, court rules are followed, and legal teams receive timely updates, directly contributing to the firm’s operational efficiency and client success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Management: Maintain and update the docketing system to ensure all deadlines are accurately recorded and tracked.
• Correspondence Processing: Review and process incoming correspondence to identify relevant deadlines and required actions.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to provide timely updates on case statuses and critical deadlines.
• Report Generation: Generate and distribute reports to ensure compliance with established court rules and procedures.
• Document Filing: Assist with the electronic filing of legal documents across various courts and jurisdictions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred, with extensive docketing experience considered in lieu of educational preferences.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of litigation docketing experience specifically within a law firm setting, coupled with experience using rules-based docketing software.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively; comprehensive knowledge of court procedures and rules across various jurisdictions; excellent organizational and communication skills; and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
